BMS Management along with the Texas Children’s Hospital Critical Care Staff held their 9th annual Texas Children’s Remembrance Breakfast on March 5th at the Meyer Building next to Children’s Hospital. This event invites Parents who have lost children in the last year to come together, cry, celebrate their child’s life, and to say thanks to the care workers that took care of their children during their time at the Hospital.
As the main Sponsor, BMS provides breakfast tacos, coffee, juice and water for approximately 125 attendees. In addition to breakfast, animal crackers and activity sets are available for the siblings that attend this event as well.
Each year, Christy Cobb, Lorna Duffield and I head over to the St. Claire and Sons Landscaping warehouse for hot dogs on the grill and decorate plants to take to this Event. St. Claire and Sons always provides these plants at no charge and again this year, graciously donated seventy-five (75) beautiful hydrangea bushes for each family member to take home and plant in memory of their child.
Although quite emotional, it is very rewarding for BMS to be a part of this celebration event.
